Shawnee Time Travelers Plan World War I Event

The Shawnee Cemetery Time Travelers are returning to the year 1918 in remembrance of the end of World War 1. The program will feature stories on how the war affected local citizens along with patriotic songs, historical displays and a variety of food, all included with a donation of $15. Children 12 and under are free. Proceeds will benefit the Shawnee Cemetery Preservation Association, an all-volunteer group which provides continued care to the 13 acre historic cemetery. Event will be held beginning at 1 p.m., rain or shine, on Saturday, Oct. 6 at Good Will Hose Company No. 2 grounds, 451 W. Main St., Plymouth. For information or tickets, call 570-406-1238.
