POCATELLO - Teachers have an enormous influence on children, our children. We are so thankful for their patience, compassion, leadership and for the immense commitment they put into being a teacher.

Congratulations to Holy Spirit Catholic School teacher Peggy Kaiser for receiving the Jriven Fitness Outstanding Teacher Award. She received a $500 scholarship for her classroom and is highly deserving of this acknowledgement.

Peggy was nominated for this award by students and parents. She teaches math and religion to our middle school students, as well as coaching LEGO Robotics and MATHCounts, assisting with Science Olympiad, and organizing middle school sports and multiple service projects.

Among the many accolades noted in the nomination, the following depicts so well Mrs. Kaiser’s impact as an outstanding educator.

A parent wrote, “Peggy Kaiser’s approach to teaching is unique, positive and she instills this into the students she works with every day. Her energy is infectious and the love she has for what she does is clear.”

A middle school student wrote, “I LOVE her! She is the most amazing person and teacher. She makes Math easy to understand and fun. She takes time with each of us. She just really cares about us. She helps everyone individually with what we need most.”

Teachers like Peggy Kaiser are such a treasure, building the trust needed for a positive learning environment with love, understanding, and passionate enthusiasm. Again, congratulations Peggy and thank you for your dedication and commitment.
