5 siblings who fled foster home found safe in Bay Area hotel
STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) — Police in central California say five siblings who were reported missing after they left a temporary foster home were found safe in a San Francisco Bay Area hotel.
The Stockton Police Department says Richmond police officers found the children in El Cerrito Tuesday night. The siblings were reported missing on Saturday after they fled their foster home in Stockton.
Contra Costa Child Protective Services had placed the two boys and three girls in the foster home three days earlier. The oldest boy is 16 and the youngest two are 4-years-old.
Authorities had said the children took most of their belongings with them and were probably trying to return to the Bay Area.
Official didn’t say how the children traveled from Stockton to El Cerrito.
