Arson, burglary listed among HPD reports

HUNTINGTON — The following information was provided by reports from the Huntington Police Department:

The Huntington Police Department listed 14 new incident reports in the 24-hour period ending at 3 p.m. Tuesday, according to a printout released by the department. However, individual reports were not made available, so these are the only known details:

Warrant service/execution, 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, 300 block of 33rd Street, Guyandotte.

Possession of a controlled substance, domestic battery, 3:34 a.m. Tuesday, 500 block of 10th Avenue.

Warrant service/execution, 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, West 7th Avenue and West 3rd Street.

Forty-eight-hour parking violation, 11:43 p.m. Monday, 2100 block of 9th Avenue.

Warrant service/execution, 8:22 p.m. Monday, 18th Street and Maple Avenue.

Driving under suspension or revocation, 4:30 p.m. Monday, 4th Avenue and 4th Street.

Destruction of property — misdemeanor, breaking and entering auto, 9 a.m. Monday, 1300 block of Van Buren Avenue.

Intoxicating substances, prohibited acts, 3:40 p.m. Monday, 1700 block of Madison Avenue.

Destruction of property — misdemeanor, 10 p.m. Sunday, 2600 block of 4th Avenue.

Fraudulent schemes, 11:10 a.m. Monday, 2800 block of 4th Avenue.

Burglary, entry of dwelling or outhouse, 6 p.m. Nov. 20, 400 block of 8th Avenue.

Destruction of property — misdemeanor, 3:51 a.m. Monday, 800 block of Madison Avenue.

Destruction of property — felony, burglary, entry of dwelling or outhouse, 11 p.m. Friday, 800 block of West 9th Street.

Arson — third degree — burning personal property of another of the value of $500 or more, breaking and entering auto, 5:56 a.m. Monday, unit block of Campbell Drive.

The following information was provided by booking records kept at Western Regional Jail:

Michael Lyle Martin, 59, was jailed at 11:59 p.m. Monday. Authorities in Mason County charged him with third-offense DUI. Bond was not set.

Justice Corbin Staley, 21, was jailed at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Wayne County charged him with possession of pseudoephedrine. Bond was not set.

Justin Lee DeVore, 18, was jailed at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Kanawha County charged him with sexual assault. Bond was set at $15,000 cash-only.

Leroy Lee Newell, 51, was jailed at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities jailed him on capias issued by Berkeley County authorities. Bond was not set.
