Orioles’ Kamieniecki Out Saturday

May 30, 1998

BALTIMORE (AP) _ Scott Kamieniecki experienced discomfort in his neck Friday and was scratched from his scheduled start Saturday against the Texas Rangers.

``He’s better today than we was yesterday, and yesterday he was better than he was the day before,″ Orioles manager Ray Miller said of Kamieniecki.

The Orioles already have starters Mike Mussina and Jimmy Key on the disabled list, so Scott Erickson and Doug Drabek are currently the only healthy pitchers in the five-man rotation.

Miller said Bobby Munoz would make his first start of the season Saturday. Munoxz has a 9.00 ERA in six innings this season.
