Misericordia’s men’s basketball team picked up its third straight win, and first MAC conference win of the season, beating Delaware Valley at home, 76-66, Wednesday.
Jason Kenny led the Cougars (8-6, 1-2) with 30 points. Tony Harding chipped in 13.
Penn State Wilkes-Barre 72, Penn State Schuylkill 53
Davaughn Roberts had 20 points and eight rebounds to lead Penn State Wilkes-Barre, who moves to 7-0 in the PSUAC
DeSales 97, Wilkes 85
At DeSales, the hosts put up 63 second-half points to rally from a seven-point halftime deficit to Wilkes.
Tommy Bowen led the Colonels (10-4, 2-1 MAC) with 31 points. Marcus Robinson hit six 3-pointers and scored 25 points.
Manhattanville 80, King’s 65
At Manhattanville, the Monarchs (2-12, 0-3 MAC) fell behind big at halftime, 50-22, and although they outscored Manhattanville 43-30 in the second half, the hole was too deep.
Andrew Hudak had a double-double for King’s with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Noah Tanner led King’s with 16 points. JJ Glinsky added 14.
A dominant first quarter helped carry Misericordia to a 76-41 win at home over Delaware Valley and a 14-0 start.
The Cougars (3-0 MAC Conference) led 19-3 at the first stop.
Tessa Zamolyi knocked down four 3-pointers and led Misericordia with 19 points. Japriya Carroll was right behind her with 18 points. Each also grabbed eight rebounds.
Rachel Carmody had nine points and 11 rebounds. Leanne Forsyth chipped in 10 points.
Manhattanville 66, King’s 60
At Manhattanville, the hosts held off the Monarchs attempt to rally late in the game.
Alexis Steeber, Rebecca Prociak and Samantha Rajza each scored 15 to lead King’s (7-7, 1-2 MAC).
DeSales 86, Wilkes 46
At DeSales, the 22nd-ranked Bulldogs were too much for the Colonels (4-8, 0-3 MAC.
Gianna Roberts scored 10 to lead Wilkes.
