Penn 100, Lehigh 58

PHILADELPHIA (AP) _ Michael Jordan scored a game-high 20 points and Garrett Kreitz and Matt Langel each added 18 to lead Penn to a 100-58 non-conference win over Lehigh.

Penn (2-0) set a new school record for three-pointers in a game, hitting on 15 of 24 for 73 percent. The previous mark was 14 against Haverford on Dec. 18, 1992. Kreitz and Langel hit a combined 10 three-point shots as the Quakers shot 62 percent in the opening half and 53.6 for the game.

Penn built a 43-point lead at 90-47 on Jordan’s three-pointer with 3:33 remaining. The Quakers led by 25 points or more throughout most of the second half.

Penn raced out to a 21-5 lead in the game’s first seven minutes, taking their biggest lead of the opening half at 53-22 when Jamie Lyren sank a three-pointer in the final three seconds.

Lehigh (0-6) was led by Brett Eppenhimer and Fido Willybiro, who each scored 10. The Mountain Hawks shot 28.6 percent in the opening half and 31.8 for the game.
