FLORENCE, S.C. – It’s homecoming week at Francis Marion University, where activities are leading up to a celebration on Saturday.

The women’s game begins at 1:30 p.m. and the men’s game will follow, starting approximately at 3:30.

Induction ceremonies for the FMU Athletics Hall of Fame will take place between the women’s and men’s games. This year’s inductee is former Patriot softball catcher Laurie Niego Mancari (’03).

The homecoming king and queen will be crowned following the men’s game.

Homecoming activities started Monday with an education alumni reception.

“FMU’s Got Talent” will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Francis Marion University Performing Arts Center in downtown Florence.

The Patriot Bonfire will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the University Center Fields.

On Friday, the FMU softball team will play host to Queens University at 5 p.m., the baseball team will play host to USC Aiken at 6 p.m. and Homecoming Eve will be held at 8 p.m. in downtown Florence.
