Juveniles rob Akron pizza delivery person, police say

AKRON, Ohio — Police have arrested two teens after a woman delivering pizzas was robbed Wednesday afternoon just north of downtown.

The 56-year-old delivery driver for DaVinci’s Pizza had just exited her car on the 400 block of Crestwood Avenue at about 2:30 p.m. when four juvenile males approached her, according to police.

One of the teens grabbed her and put a gun in her back. The three other teens took three large pizzas, two bottles of soda and $20 in cash before running from the area.

Officers were able to track down two suspects, 14 and 16 years old. They were arrested and are in the custody of the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center, according to police.

Both are charged with aggravated robbery.

Two other unidentified teens, believed to be between 13 and 16 years old, remain at large.
