Richard L. Marsik: Collateral damage

October 6, 2018

Editor:

Our law is predicated upon the assumption of innocent until proven guilty. The accusations of Christine Blasey Ford are nothing more than that unless they can be proven beyond reasonable doubt. Given the fact that she admits a gap in her memory of the incident, and as yet no corroborating witnesses have come forward, proof seems very unlikely.

Therefore I state the obvious. This entire process has been orchestrated by the Democratic Party for political gain. In the end, two distinguished professionals, Judge Kavanaugh and Christine Ford, are nothing more than collateral damage, each sacrificed for the good of the Democratic Party.
