Robbie Casten, 57, of Bourbonnais, passed into heaven Tuesday (April 2, 2019), surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 10, 1961, in Dekalb.
Robbie was an MBA graduate of Olivet Nazarene University and author of “Hope for the Heart, lessons learned in the storms of grief.”
She was the beloved wife of the late Gary Casten; cherished mother of Chandler (Matthew) Kujawa; devoted daughter of the late Albert L. and Virginia J. (Bell) Hinkle; dear sister of Rodger (Darlene) Hinkle, of Arizona, Julie (Phil) Ross, of Iowa; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Pam (Sam) Simmonds; and one brother, Terry Hinkle.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 8, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, 295 Main St., Bourbonnais. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, at River Valley Christian Fellowship, 800 Cardinal Drive, Bourbonnais. Interment will be in Windridge Memorial Park in Cary.
Memorials may be made to Mid-America Transplant Housing in St. Louis, which supported her during her lung transplant and continues to provide support and housing for organ transplant recipients and their families.
