Ex-Boy Scout Leader Admits Rapes
LONOKE, Ark. (AP) _ A former Boy Scout leader pleaded guilty Tuesday to raping young boys in his former scout troop.
Charles Jack Walls III pleaded guilty to five counts of rape, and still faces charges of rape, violation of a minor and solicitation to commit murder.
The solicitation charge concerns Walls’ alleged effort to have a boy and his father killed after the father kept accusing him of asking his son for sex.
Walls admitted raping five boys, all younger than 14, between 1986 and 1990 while an assistant scoutmaster, special prosecutor Betty Dickey said.
He could be sentenced to life in prison on each rape charge at his sentencing hearing scheduled for Feb. 4.
