BOSTON (AP) — The price of gas in Massachusetts has dropped by 3 cents per gallon.

AAA Southern New England reports Monday that a gallon of self-serve, regular has fallen to an average of $3.45 per gallon in the past week.

The current price is 3 cents below the national average, but still 9 cents higher than at the same time last year.

AAA found self-serve, regular selling for as low as $3.31 per gallon and as high as $3.69.
