— NEW YORK — Looking for a three-game sweep in their AL Division Series, the Cleveland Indians send 18-game winner Carlos Carrasco to the mound against Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez and the Yankees. Right-hander Masahiro Tanaka will try to extend New York’s season. Game starts 7:38 p.m.
— BOSTON — Brad Peacock gets the start as the Houston Astros look to advance to a league championship series for the first time since 2005. The Boston Red Sox are hoping a return to Fenway Park will help them avoid being swept out of the ALDS for the second straight year. They’ll give the ball to Doug Fister, whose teams are 7-1 in his eight postseason starts. Game starts 2:38 p.m.
— Previews on Monday’s two NLDS games: Washington (tied 1-1) at Chicago; Los Angeles (up 2-0) at Arizona.
— The AP reveals its new college football poll. Poll released at 2 p.m.
— ARLINGTON, Texas — Aaron Rodgers and the Packers visit Dak Prescott and the Cowboys in a rematch of Green Bay’s divisional playoff victory last January on the same field. Game time 4:25 p.m.
— DETROIT — In a matchup of 3-1 teams, the Detroit Lions host the Carolina Panthers. Game time 1 p.m.
— CLEVELAND — Top overall pick Myles Garrett makes his regular season debut as the winless Browns host the New York Jets, who are off to a surprising 2-2 start with former Cleveland quarterback Josh McCown. Game time 1 p.m.
— Rafael Nadal beat Nick Kyrgios of Australia 6-2, 6-1 in the China Open final to win his sixth ATP title of the year, and Caroline Garcia defeated soon-to-be-No. 1 Simona Halep 6-4, 7-6 (3) in the women’s event.
— NAPA, Calif. — Final round of the Safeway Open.
— CONCORD, N.C. — NASCAR opens the second round of the playoffs at Charlotte Motor Speedway, although rain is expected to disrupt Sunday’s race. Race starts at 1 p.m.
