While the wheels of bureaucracy grind on, Ken Bond’s money train keeps chugging to the bank.
Despite the more than a quarter of a million dollars in delinquent taxes and fees he owes the city, county and school district, the engineer of PSN Realty is still collecting rent from 26 units that aren’t registered with the city.
Average monthly rent in Scranton is around $750, according to U.S. Census Bureau figures. At a minimum, PSN Realty is collecting almost $20,000 a month at the city’s expense.
“Do the math,” Councilman Wayne Evans said when I raised the rent with him.
