Vermont town hall mold cleanup nearly complete
BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. (AP) — Officials say a Vermont town hall’s mold cleanup project is nearly complete.
The Brattleboro Reformer reports Bellows Falls Town Manager Wendy Harrison announced Monday that town offices should be back to normal next week after the disruptive cleaning process.
Harrison says the cleaning of the top two floors is complete, and employees are back at their desks. She says they are still waiting on results of air tests in the offices of town manager and finance.
The mold was discovered in the heating and ventilation units in town offices after the summer cooling season.
Harrison says the original cost of cleanup was estimated at $30,000, but workers have completed cleaning in a shorter amount of time then estimated.
She says the cleanup has come in $8,000 below budget.
