‘Disney on Ice’ show expected to go on Thursday in Florence Center

October 11, 2018

FLORENCE, S.C. — Pee Dee residents will be treated to magical events as “Disney On Ice” returns this week to the Florence Center.

The show, titled “Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Enchantment,” will have five show times, beginning Thursday night.

Nick Hooker, the director of marketing for the Florence Center, said the venue is planning to operate on a normal schedule even with a threat from effects of Hurricane Michael.

“It’s always electrifying when the magic of Disney comes to town,” Hooker said. “It’s moving to see all the smiling faces of parents as they watch their children’s’ faces light up with wonder and awe. With the hurricanes, flooding and the latest tragedy, we certainly hope Disney On Ice will lift a few spirits this week.”

Show times are 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday. There will be two shows on Saturday, at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. The final show will start at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Attendees will be entertained through performances from characters of four of their favorite Disney stories, including “Cars,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Toy Story” and “Frozen.”

Tickets are $20 to $50 and can be purchased at florencecenter.com.
