Police investigating crash at Danbury gas station

DANBURY — First responders were sent to a local gas station after a crash in the city on Thursday.

Shortly after 4:30 p.m., a firefighter said there was a car with blood in it at the Citgo gas station at 90 West St. in the city, according to dispatch reports. More than two hours later, police were still on scene investigating.

According to Mayor Mark Boughton, the location is the site of a motor vehicle accident. A police department spokesman did not immediately return a request for comment.
