ROME (AP) — Italy coach Jacques Brunel has made five changes ahead of Sunday’s Six Nations match against France in Paris.
Tommaso Iannone returns to right wing in place of Angelo Esposito after his early blunder in the 23-15 defeat in Wales in its tournament opener.
Gonzalo Garcia replaces Alberto Sgarbi after a six-month injury layoff.
In the pack, prop Alberto de Marchi and lock Joshua Furno come in for Michele Rizzo and Marco Bortolami, while flanker Francesco Minto replaces Alessandro Zanni.
Captain Sergio Parisse and Martin Castrogiovanni will both win their 103rd caps, equaling the retired Andrea Lo Cicero’s record number of appearances for Italy.
Italy has beaten France twice in the past three meetings but both victories have come in Rome.
