Democratic meet-and-greet Tuesday in Rock Falls

ROCK FALLS – Residents are invited to meet with three local Democratic candidates Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Flip Side Coffee and Espresso Bar, 116 W. Second St.

Joan Padilla, who’s running for 71st District state representative; Gregg Johnson, running for the 36th District state Senate seat; and Whiteside County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy John Booker, who’s running for sheriff, will be on hand for about an hour and a half.

Their GOP opponents in the Nov. 6 race are, respectively, incumbent state Rep. Tony McCombie of Savanna; incumbent state Sen. Neil Anderson of Moline, and Whiteside County Sheriff’s Sgt. Kris Schmidt.
