FIS Recognizes Spectrum for Innovation in 2018 Impact Awards
TACOMA, Wash., June 12, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Spectrum Pension Consultants, Inc. (Spectrum), is honored to have been recognized by FIS, a global leader of financial technology, for innovation in the 2018 FIS Impact Awards.
The FIS Impact Awards, independently judged by leading industry analyst research group Celent, recognizes organizations that are using FIS technology or services in innovative ways, to better serve their customers and drive tangible business results.
“Spectrum is committed to technology innovation and enabling our clients to realize significant value through the relationship with our firm,” said Petros P. Koumantaros, Spectrum CEO. “We are incredibly grateful to FIS for the recognition, collaborative partnership, and their philanthropic program.”
FIS recognized Spectrum’s innovative use of technology to simplify origination and servicing of individual retirement accounts (IRAs). The solution, developed to meet the needs of a key Spectrum client, allows individual investors to originate and manage IRAs online. The solution has allowed Spectrum’s client to grow its IRA business, while significantly reducing account origination times and telephone support requests.
For each honoree, the FIS Foundation donated $10,000 in the honoree’s name to charitable organizations designated by the award winner. Spectrum is thrilled to have designated $5,000 for the American Cancer Society and $5,000 for the Pano Koumantaros Cancer Research Fund, which is named after Spectrum’s founder who tragically died from bladder cancer in 2005.
“Spectrum is thrilled to donate $5,000 for the American Cancer Society and $5,000 for the Pano Koumantaros Cancer Research Fund,” said Yannis P. Koumantaros, Spectrum CFO and son of the founder. “We are incredibly proud of our team’s innovative approach to technology to better serve our clients and community.”
