Suspected child molester scheduled for Wednesday arraignment
A Lake Havasu City man will be arraigned Wednesday on charges including sexual abuse, molestation of a child and five counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
According to court records, David L. Long, 44, engaged in sexual acts including intercourse with a child younger than 12, which allegedly began in May 2016 and continued until last month. Police arrested Long on Jan. 25, and he was indicted last Thursday. He is scheduled to appear before Mohave County Judge Pro Tempore Kenneth Gregory for arraignment at Mohave County Jail.
The case against Long remains active, according to Lake Havasu City Police Sgt. Tom Gray. An official report in Long’s arrest wasn’t available to the public as of Monday afternoon, and more information in the case will be disclosed as it becomes available.
As of Monday, Long remained in custody at Mohave County Jail on $50,000 bond.
