LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) _ Windstream Holdings Inc. (WIN) on Thursday reported a loss of $93.7 million in its second quarter.

The Little Rock, Arkansas-based company said it had a loss of $2.30 per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of $2.74 per share.

The broadband and communications company posted revenue of $1.44 billion in the period, which met Street forecasts.
