Bomb Found in Dutch Apartment Bldg.
UTRECHT, Netherlands (AP) _ Acting on a tip, Dutch police evacuated about 100 residents from an apartment complex, found and disabled a bomb and arrested a suspect.
Residents of the complex in this central city were evacuated for several hours Monday evening, police spokeswoman Liesbeth Tettero said Tuesday.
Experts were called in to disable the bomb, which Dutch media said contained the powerful plastic explosive Semtex.
Tettero would not confirm whether Semtex was found, saying only that the bomb has been turned over to specialists for analysis.
The tenant of the apartment, a 24-year-old man, was not present during the raid, but was arrested later. He had no previous criminal record, Tettero said. The suspect was not identified.
The latest incident follows three other false bomb alerts reported earlier this week in the port city of Rotterdam.
