Coroner: Huestis Avenue death in March was accidental

The death of a 35-year-old Fort Wayne man in March on Huestis Avenue was accidental, the Allen County coroner’s office said today.

Ronald L. Strother’s body was found in an alley in the 1400 block of Huestis shortly before midnight March 24, the coroner’s office said.

It said Strother died from fentanyl toxicity.

Strother was identified following an autopsy, but the cause and manner of his death were pending further testing and investigation.
