San Antonio Rampage drop road game to Chicago Wolves

The San Antonio Rampage had a four-game winning streak snapped with a 3-1 loss to the Chicago Wolves on Saturday at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill.

San Antonio is 17-18-1, while Chicago is 21-12-4.

The Wolves jumped out to a 3-0 lead behind first-period goals from Daniel Carr and Alex Gallant and a tally by Brandon Pirri in the second. Mitch Reinke scored San Antonio’s lone goal late in the second period.

Rampage goalie Jared Coreau made 20 saves against 23 shots, while Max Lagace stopped 22 of 23 shots for the Wolves.

The Rampage will take the ice in search of a franchise-record eighth straight home win when they face the Iowa Wild at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
