Warden service searches for Maine man, 86
BENTON, Maine (AP) — The Maine Warden Service is searching for an 86-year-old Benton man who went missing Wednesday.
The warden service says Arthur Wakeman left his home between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday. He was wearing blue jeans and a plaid shirt and may have a walking stick with him.
As of 7 a.m. Thursday, there were 10 game wardens and several K-9 units looking for him. A warden service airplane was also headed to the scene.
Other search teams are assisting.
A command post has been set up at the Albion Fire Department.
Police say if anyone has seen Wakeman or has information that may help determine where he is to please call the Augusta State Police Communication Center at 624-7076.
