Family members need to care for each other

April 3, 2019

I’m noticing this much too often lately that when a family member becomes ill, other members of that family do not share the care responsibilities equally. This is a huge societal problem that must be addressed because under the current administration we’re all supposed to look at creating wealth over everything else.

It’s not fair to have a single member of a family take on most of the responsibilities of an ill or deceased family member. We are also going to need to take this level of care out of facilities and place it back into the homestead because it’s fiscally ruining family legacies, through Medicare taking, and it is not sustainable.

What happened to the old days when families took care of their own no matter what? All family members should be involved in the care of their elderly parents or needy siblings. We need to become a caring society once again.
