March 15, 2016

DANVERS, Mass. (AP) — Massachusetts state police say a man is dead after his car crashed into two vehicles on Route 128 in Danvers.

Troopers responded to a report of a three-car crash just after 9 a.m. Monday. Police say the 59-year-old Hamilton man was heading northbound when he stopped in the right travel lane.

Police say his car headed north again when it sideswiped a Ford Explorer and rear-ended a Honda Civic.

The man was taken to Beverly Hospital where he was pronounced dead. He wasn’t immediately identified.

Police say the driver of the Honda, a Reading woman, was hospitalized with minor injuries. The driver of the other car wasn’t hurt.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. Police are looking into whether the man suffered a medical event before the crash.
