Four arrested in alleged drug sales
City officials on Friday announced three arrests in a six-month investigation surrounding the sale of methamphetamine in Lake Havasu City.
According to a Friday press release, Lake Havasu City SWAT team and special investigations unit members served a search warrant at the 2900 block of War Eagle Drive. Upon the SWAT team’s arrival, the release said, two suspects in the case were seen leaving the residence. Havasu residents Leonard R. Contreras, 55, and Felicia M. Knepp, 45, were taken into custody at the scene.
A search of their vehicle allegedly yielded more than 100 grams of methamphetamine, as well as drug paraphernalia and a counterfeit $100 bill. A search of the residence yielded small amounts of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Two more suspects were also located within the residence, identified in the release as Havasu residents Matthew G. Rea, 34, and Glenora R. Corrao, 55.
Contreras was charged with possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, forgery, driving with a suspended license and a misdemeanor warrant on charges of failure to comply with a court order.
Knepp was charged with possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rea was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Corrao was charged with possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
