Survivor of Nashville shooting hopes to walk again
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A shooting survivor in Nashville, Tennessee, is beginning rehabilitation in the hopes that she’ll walk again after an incident that police say had similarities to two other recent shootings.
The woman and her husband spoke to The Tennessean on Sunday about the ordeal, but asked to remain anonymous because the suspects are still on the loose.
The woman said she was walking her dogs shortly after midnight on Aug. 8 when she noticed a small, dark-colored Chevrolet. Police say a similar car was reported in at least two other shootings last week in which three people were killed, and they are investigating whether the shootings are connected.
The woman says when she was shot the bullet grazed her spine and left her paralyzed.
Police said on Monday they were pursuing strong leads in the shootings.
