Undated (AP) _ Tearing Millie turned back Owned by All by a half-length to win the $16,000 Lady Dean Purse, opening day feature of an unprecedented 42-day winter meeting Tuesday at Laurel Race Course.

The favorite in a field of seven fillies and mares led all the way with jockey Phil Gvore aboard. THe winner completed six furlongs in 1:10. Owned by All, who rallied down the center of the track, finished a neck before Chess Move.

Tearing Millie paid $5.60, $2.80 and $2.60.Owned by All returned $3.80 and $3.20, while Chess Move was worth $3.60 to show. ---

Warglo beat favored Good Economics by a neck to win the $25,000 Honey Fox purse on the grass at Gulfstream Park.

Warglo, ridden by Bobby Woodhouse, ran the mile course in 1:38 and paid $16.60, $5.00 and $5.40. Good Economics returned $3.20 and $2.80, while Music Queen finished two lengths farther back and paid $5.00 to show.
