A safe at the Sherwin-Williams Co. store in East Huntingdon was cut open and the money stolen last month in a crime similar to two other incidents at company stores in the Pittsburgh region, state police at Greensburg said.
Someone forcibly entered the store at Countryside Plaza after 8 p.m. July 20, dragged the safe to the rear of the store and then cut a hole in it, stealing the cash, police said. The theft was discovered at 8 a.m. July 21.
Police did not reveal the amount of money that was stolen.
