Home Depot Corp., down $13.43 to $35.50

The Atlanta-based home retailer warned that its third-quarter and full-year earnings will fall short of expectations because of soft prices for lumber and building materials.

Unisys Inc., up 56 cents to $10.25

The Blue Bell, Pa computer equipment company plans to cut 1,500 jobs or 8 percent of its workforce in the United States by the end of the year and said its quarterly earnings fell for the third consecutive quarter.

Bristol-Myers Corp., up 69 cents to $59.06

The Securities and Exchange Commission has reportedly ordered an investigation into possible insider trading of the New York based pharmaceutical company.


Applied Micro Circuits Corp., up $3.26 at $171

The San Diego maker of chips for communications equipment said its fiscal second quarter earnings and sales more than doubled. It also said it will split its stock 2-for-1.

Sagent Technololgy Inc., down $3 at $2.63

The Mountain View, Calif electronics business software maker said it was very disappointed with its third quarter earnings and it will take a 6 cents a share charge for costs associated with recruiting and hiring new management.

WebMD Corp., up 31 cents to $9.63

The ailing Internet health company said its co-chief executive Jeffrey T. Arnold quit, marking the third top official at the company to quit in the past month.
