Free tickets still available for Offutt Brass band performance
Some free tickets still are available for a performance by the U.S. Air Force’s Offutt Brass band that is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 10, at the Johnny Carson Theatre in Norfolk.
The free concert is being sponsored as a public service by the Daily News.
The concert is set to begin at 7:30 p.m., but doors will open at 6:30 p.m. There are no reserved seats, but free tickets were made available to interested persons in recent weeks.
For those interested in obtaining up to four tickets, individuals can stop in at the Daily News at 525 Norfolk Ave., or send a request for tickets along with a self-addressed stamped envelope. The request and envelope can be sent to: Band concert, Norfolk Daily News, Box 977, Norfolk, NE 68702.
Ticket holders are requested to be seated by 7 p.m. Doors will open to the general public at 7:15 p.m., if there are any seats available.
Stationed at Offutt Air Force Base, the Offutt Brass is a six-member component of the Heartland of America Band. With the traditional instrumentation of two trumpets, French horn, trombone and tuba, plus percussion, the ensemble is know for its versatility and outstanding musicianship.
