Teen arrested for shooting threats to 3 Virginia schools
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A teen is accused of threatening shootings at three Virginia high schools.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch cites a release from Henrico County police that says the 16-year-old was arrested and charged with making threats of bodily injury to persons on school property after a threatening message mentioning Glen Allen, Mills Godwin and Deep Run high schools circulated on social media Thursday.
Police said the message was investigated by Henrico County police, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and was found to be not credible. The investigation is still ongoing.
Henrico Schools increased security at the mentioned schools Friday.
