Mizumaki Wins Tamanoi Yomiuri Open
NISHINOMIYA, Japan (AP) _ Yoshinori Mizumaki shot a 5-under-par 67 Sunday and won the Tamanoi Yomiuri Open by three strokes.
Mizumaki, teeing off with a two-shot lead, birdied the first three holes but bogeyed the eighth. On the back nine, he added three more birdies on his way to a 17-under 271 total.
For his first victory of the season and seventh overall, Mizumaki earned $169,800 from a purse of $849,000.
First-round leader Hisayuki Sasaki birdied all four par-5s in a bogey-free round of 66 and finished second at 14-under 274.
Seiki Okuda had the day’s best round of 64 for a share of seventh at 278.
