With 6,792 yards in an Eagles’ uniform, McCoy is Philadelphia’s all-time leading rusher. He last played for them in 2014, after which the Chip Kelly regime traded him to the Bills straight up for linebacker Kiko Alonso.

The Eagles (2-3)lost feature back Jay Ajayi to a torn ACL for the rest of the season. The top running backs on their depth chart after Ajayi are Corey Clement and Wendell Smallwood.

McCoy is having a down year, himself. He could not eclipse 40 rushing yards in a game until Sunday’s win over Tennessee, when he gained 85. He had fewer than 10 carries in each of his first three games, he missed Week 3 with a cracked rib and he has yet to find the end zone.

That’s to say nothing of what’s brewing off the field for the back nicknamed “Shady.” McCoy’s ex-girlfriend filed a lawsuit that alleged he physically abused their son.

Philadelphia sports radio host Anthony Gargano reportedthe Bills are asking for second- and third-round draft picks in a McCoy deal.
