Gallia Academy places six on All-OVC team

CHESAPEAKE, Ohio—Ohio Valley Conference champion Gallia Academy placed six football players on the All-Ohio Valley Conference first team.

James Armstrong, Cory Call, Jacob Campbell, Justin McClelland, Boo Pullens and Cade Roberts were Blue Devils on the first unit. Riley Starnes and Trentin Walker earned honorable mention. Alex Penrod was named coach of the year.

Also named to the first team were: Reid Carrico, Brady Rowe, Hunter Humphreys, Gage Salyers and Seth Fosson of Ironton; Talyn Parker, Coin Boehm, Brian Carey-Knipp, Bryson Morrow and Ty Pendleton of Portsmouth; Joel Lambiotte, Michael Stitt and Blaine Cremeans of Fairland; Kamren Harless, Dakota Hess and Austin Browning of Chesapeake; Aaron Music and Nate Harmon of Coal Grove; Logan Hankins and Triston Delong of Rock Hill; and Joel Morrison and Seth Nicely of South Point.

Honorable-mention picks included Ethan Duncan and Brycen Thomas of Ironton; Eric Purdy and Ben Lester of Portsmouth; Reilly Sowards and Gavin Hunt of Fairland; Dillon Lunsford and Will Todd of Fairland; Kyle Sites and Austin Stapleton of Coal Grove; T.J. McGinnis and Brayden Friend of Rock Hill; and Brody Blackwell and Kameron Hardy of South Point.
