Pritzker to visit DeKalb on Sunday, open campaign office
DeKALB – JB Pritzker will be in DeKalb midday Sunday to open the first gubernatorial campaign office in DeKalb County and meet voters, according DeKalb County Democratic Party Chairman Jim Luebke.
Luebke said Democratic candidates from the county to Congressional level will be on hand to speak from noon until 1 p.m. Sunday at the new campaign office, 2446 Sycamore Road. Luebke said Sara Dady, who’s running against Republican Adam Kinzinger, R-Channahon, for the 16th Congressional District seat in Illinois, as well as Lauren Underwood, who’s running against Randy Hultgren, R-Plano, for the 14th District seat, have been invited to the event.
A release from Luebke says at 1 p.m., Pritzker and his running mate, lieutenant governor candidate Juliana Stratton, will speak at 1 p.m., and a meet-and-greet will follow.
Pritzker was in town March 19, the day before the spring primary election, and spoke at a union rally at Northern Illinois University. The next day, Pritzker cruised to the Democratic nomination, and will face fellow billionaire Bruce Rauner in the general election Nov. 6.
