Mourn 9/11 Victims but Don’t Forget ‘evil-doers’
On 9/11, the country watched as we remembered the lives of all those lost in the hijacked airliner crashes designed to destroy our people and our way of life. Reading off the names of the victims was an honorable but feeble attempt at honoring their sacrifices and keeping their memories alive. But at the same time, we should not forget those wicked people who crafted this dastardly deed that forever changed our world. Maybe we should read off the names of all the hijackers also, and name their country of origin and the religion and culture that formed their thinking.
These were not Christians -- Catholic and Protestant -- or Jews and Palestinians. They were not Buddhists or Hindu. They were not humanists. They were not even agnostics or atheists.
While we remember the good lives lost, it seems that it is politically incorrect to even mention how the evil-doers’ minds came about to the point where they were willing to perform this act.
While I do not agree with many of President Trump’s words or actions, he seems to be one of the few who is trying to protect us from a repeat of this, and who is not afraid to call a spade a spade.
