Cops: Derry Twp. man arrested after allegedly threatening man with a knife
An 18-year-old Derry Township man was arrested Tuesday after state troopers said he held a knife to a man’s throat and threatened to kill him.
Scott R. Krinock of Bradenville was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, criminal mischief, harassment, making terroristic threats, simple assault, and theft following the 7:08 a.m. incident outside Krinock’s residence on the 300 block of 11th Street.
Troopers said in an affidavit of probable cause the male victim pulled his car into the driveway to pickup another resident of the apartment house when “Krinock snuck up behind him, grabbed his hair through his car window” and put a knife to his throat.
Trooper Thomas Maloney alleges in the affidavit of probable cause that Krinock threatened to kill the victim before letting go of the victim’s hair, “and repeatedly stabbing the rear driver’s door with his knife” before fleeing.
Maloney reported said a female resident in the same apartment house confirmed the assault, and Maloney said he also observed puncture marks on the victim’s car door.
Troopers allege that Krinock took two cellular telephones, a bookbag with clothes inside and a wallet from other occupants inside the apartment before fleeing. He was arrested by troopers later Tuesday morning and arraigned before Bilik.
Krinock was ordered held in the Westmoreland County Prison after failing to post $10,000 bail.
