Humble ISD has 36 student athletes sign on National Signing Day
Humble Independent School District had 36 students sign letters of intent Wednesday morning on National Signing Day at the Humble Civic Center.
A total of 60 Humble ISD student athletes have signed letters of intent since the early signing period on November 18, 2018.
“On behalf of the Humble Independent School District and the Board of Trustees, I want to offer my sincerest congratulations regarding your extraordinary accomplishments being celebrated today,” said Superintendent of schools Dr. Elizabeth Fagen. “Today, you will have the opportunity to officially “sign” with your carefully selected college or university, a very impressive list of college and universities I might add, and officialy become a college athlete. It is a very exciting day, and our entire community could not be more proud of you and your achievements.”
Atascocita High School had 12 student athletes sign while Summer Creek had eight sign, Kingwood and Kingwood Park each had seven signings and Humble had two student athletes sign a letter of intent.
Atascocita had four football players sign with colleges including Kenyon Green (Texas A&M), Myron Morrison (Rice University), Trisan Heaton (Henderson State University) and Matthew Martin (Southwestern University).
Three Lady Eagles signed to play soccer in Ainsley Cunningham (Northeastern State University), Erin Peters (King University) and Nia Rampersad (Univeristy of Texas San Antonio).
Two softball players signed to play in college in Bryanna Bell (Prairie View A&M) and Emery Stanush (Cisco College).
Atascocita’s Carson Kirk singed to play tennis at Schreiner University, Taylor Nelloms decided to run track at West Texas A&M and Hayden Morin will play basketball at the University of St. Thomas.
Summer Creek had five members of its football team sign in Dylan Bolden (Missouri Southern State University), Xavier Daniels (Univeristy of Texas Permian Basin), Jamison Frazier (Henderson State University), Brandon Neal II (West Texas A&M) and Jack Zelezinski (McNeese State University).
Courtney Bates signed to play volleyball at East Texas Baptist University, Tianna Randle signed to run track at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and Timothy Mansell will play baseball at the University of St. Thomas.
Humble had two members of its football team making their commitments official with Isiah Robinson (Navarro Junior college) and Tyler Martinez (Texas Southern University).
Kingwood Park had four players from the girls soccer team sign in Allie Byrd (University of North Texas), Taylor DeBrosky (Our Lady of the Lake University), Isabella Salazar (University of the Ozarks) and Bailey Schoener (University of Mary Hardin-Baylor).
K-Park’s David Clark signed to swim at Chowan University, Victoria Marquez signed to play volleyball at Caldwell University and Zoie Reyna signed to run cross country and track at the University of Texas San Antonio.
Kingwood had four golfers sign in Kaitlyn Charles (Tyler Junior College), Hayes Hamilton (McClennan Community College), Holden Hamilton (McClennan Community College) and Libby Singleton (McClennan Community College)
Zachary Cantrell (University of Delaware Honors College) and Matthew Newman (University of Texas Permian Basin) signed to swim in college.
Kingwood Lauren Livingston signed with Midway University for equestrian (riding horses).
