MOSCOW (AP) _ Israeli authorities handed over to Russian police a man charged with murder, robbery and fraud on Tuesday in the first such extradition between the two countries, a media report said.

RTR television showed footage of the man, whom it identified as Andrei Zhuravlyov, in Russian police custody at Moscow's Domodedovo airport.

Mikhail Nikiforov, a top police official, told RTR that Zhuravlyov will face charges of murder, robbery and fraud.

The station said it was the first extradition from Israel to Russia and that officials hope it will set a precedent.
