BARCELONA, Spain (AP) _ Deportivo de La Coruna's Copa del Rey match Tuesday was forfeited by opponent Hospitalet, which carried out its threat not to play over a venue dispute.

The game was scheduled for FC Barcelona's Mini-Estadi stadium. But the third division club, based in the Barcelona suburb of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, said last weekend it would not play in protest of the Spanish Soccer Federation's switching of the game to the Mini-Estadi.

Deportivo had exercised its right to demand a venue change because Hospitalet's 7,000-capacity stadium has artificial turf.

Deportivo will advance into the quarterfinals, according to competition rules, while Hospitalet will be eliminated. Hospitalet says it will appeal.

The modest Catalan club also could be suspended for next season's tournament, and fined up to $10,600.
