BCESD meeting produces no action in open session
BULLHEAD CITY — Bullhead City Elementary School District governing board adjourned Thursday’s special meeting without taking action.
Board members were to discuss district staffing, including its search for a new superintendent who would replace Benje Hookstra, who is retiring at the end of the school year.
Other positions to possibly be discussed included curriculum director and business manager.
The board met for about an hour in executive session. When the board emerged and reconvened the open meeting, the only action taken was on a motion for adjournment.
Its unclear what the next step in the process will be. The board’s next regular meeting is set for April 18, but it could schedule an earlier special meeting.
