PITTSBURGH (AP) _ A 2-month-old girl died Monday of injuries suffered when her father allegedly shook her more than 20 times because he was annoyed by her crying, state police said.

Destiny Wynn was hospitalized Saturday with a bleeding and swollen brain.

Chad Willis Wynn, 21, was jailed Monday in lieu of $100,000 bail on charges of aggravated assault and child endangerment, police said. State trooper Diane Grady said that no additional charges had been filed.

Allegheny County Coroner Cyril Wecht said it would take 10 to 14 days to conduct tests on Destiny's brain to determine the extent of the damage. That would give state police time to further investigate and decide whether to file homicide charges, he said.

Police said Wynn was drinking beer and watching television alone on Friday when his daughter's crying irritated him. They said Wynn told officers the baby passed out while he was shaking her and had blood in her mouth.

The child's mother, Shanea Wynn, later returned home and took the girl to a hospital.
