Cheryl L. Bartek, 51, of Valparaiso, entered into eternal rest Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at St. Vitus Catholic Church in Touhy, with the Rev. Matthew Vandewalle as celebrant. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, with a 7 p.m. rosary, all at the church. Interment will be at St. Vitus Cemetery in Touhy. Memorials may be made in care of the family for future designation.

Cheryl was born Nov. 13, 1967, in David City, to Donald and Loretta (Vondra) Tejral. She graduated from East Butler High School in 1987. She was a dedicated employee at david’s Place in David City for 28 years. Her co-workers and the residents there were considered her extended family. Cheryl was also a devoted caregiver for her ailing mother who was battling cancer. She was united in marriage to Ronald Bartek on Sept. 12, 1992, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Brainard.

Cheryl enjoyed collecting Nebraska memorabilia and was an avid Husker fan. She was a member of St. Vitus Catholic Church in Touhy.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Ronald Bartek; siblings, Denise (Butch) Rorabaugh, Bruce (Lorene) Tejral, Alan (Tammy) Tejral, Duane (Diane) Tejral and Loran Tejral; nieces and nephews, Audrey, Joe, Jesse, Jacki, Wendy, Adam, Austin, Kristine, Kody, Kourtney, Erin and Samantha; many great-nieces and nephews, and special friend, Bev Rerucha.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Loretta Tejral; grandparents, Louis and Helen Tejral, Joe and Flora Vondra; brother, Greg Tejral and nephew, Chris Kastl.
