Winona’s Page Series opens with free outdoor ‘Dr. Falstaff’

WINONA — The 2018-2019 Page Series at Saint Mary’s University in Winona, ranging from drama to dance, has been announced.

The season starts Sept. 16 with an outdoor performance by Picnic Operetta at Unity Park. Also scheduled in the season is marimba music from Rio Mira, the Virginia Repertory Theatre production of “Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad,” and the orchestral rock band We Are the Willows.

Most performances are at Page Theatre on the Saint Mary’s campus. A variety of season ticket packages are available, as are single tickets. For information, contact the box office at 507-457-1715 or pagetheatre.org.

• Manual Cinema: “The End of TV,” 3 p.m. Oct. 7, Page Theatre; $27 adults, $24 seniors and students, $18 youth.

• “Pinocchio” by Quebec-based theater company Tout a Trac, 6:30 p.m. Nov. 7, Page Theatre; $12 adults, seniors and students, $8 youth.

• “Places Please,” comedy by Larry Keigwin and Nicole Wolcott, 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Nov. 10, Valencia Arts Center with cafe-style seating and cash bar; $22.

• “Path of Miracles,” by ODC Dance and 17-voice choir, 7:30 p.m. Jan. 25, Wesley United Methodist Church, Winona; $30.

• “The Velveteen Rabbit,” by ODC Dance, 3 p.m. Jan. 27, Page Theatre; $27 adults, $24 seniors and students $22 youth.

• “Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad,” by Virginia Repertory Theatre, 6:30 p.m. Feb. 20, Page Theatre; pay what you can.

• We Are the Willows perform songs inspired by letters written during World War II, 7:30 p.m. March 30, Page Theatre; $15, $12 youth.

• “Dreaming under a Cedar Tree 2.0,” solo dance by Sharon Mansur, 7:30 p.m. April 24 and 25, Page Theatre; $15.
