Cerroni’s Purple Garlic adding second location
Cerroni’s Purple Garlic, a long-standing Italian restaurant on Austin Highway, is expanding with a second San Antonio location on the North Side. The new restaurant will occupy the former 2,113-square-foot space of the Bagel Factory inside the Galleria Oaks Shopping Center, located between Thousand Oaks and Brook Hollow Boulevard off of US 281.
“It will be the same concept, same menu as what we are doing now,” said Nick Bolleter, son-in-law of owner Mark Cerroni. “Mark has been looking to expand for a while now, and he finally found a location in the area he was looking for.”
Purple Garlic has a menu that features a large lineup of made-from-scratch specialty pizzas, sandwiches, pastas, soups, salads and classic Italian appetizers. Beer and wine is also available.
Bolleter said that they ambitiously hope to be up and running at the second location by mid-August.
